Membership

CORM membership is your front row ticket to participate in an active forum for optical radiation professionals to identify and discuss issues and problems of mutual interest and work together to develop solutions. CORM membership provides the opportunity to interact with your peers involved with optical radiation measurements. Membership also includes a subscription to ORN, confers voting privileges, insures notification on CORM activities, provides a mechanism to express concerns and influence national priorities through participation in reports, questionnaires and presentations, and gives access to CORM workshops and reports.

As a member you will receive:

  • Optical Radiation News (ORN), a biannual publication (click here for a sample issue)

  • Discounted Annual Conference admission and attendance at the Business Meeting
  • Voting privileges for CORM Directors and special issues
  • Opportunity to contribute your concerns through activity on reports, committees, questionaires, and presentations
  • Opportunity for interaction with NIST and other professionals in optical radiation measurements

Eligibility:

CORM membership is open to any individual, society, organization or corporation interested in the field of optical radiation measurement. Its membership includes scientists and technical professionals from a wide range of manufacturing and industrial research laboratories, academic institutions, technical organizations, and government and national laboratories. For example: Rockwell Collins, 3M, Eastman Kodak, Instrument Systems, Labsphere, Optronic Laboratories, Gamma Scientific, SPIE, NIST, NRCC, USDOT, NREL.

Dues:

Dues are determined by the Board of Directors. See the Application Form below for the current rates. All dues shall be paid annually and in advance. CORM shall not have the power to levy any general assessment on its members or to enforce a payment for any amount beyond the annual dues.

CORM does not currently accept online dues payments, please remit funds in US dollars drawn upon US banks only. Dues are not refundable.

Termination of Membership:

Any member may terminate membership by giving notice to the Secretary. Failure to pay dues for one year without a valid cause, as determined by the Board of Directors, shall terminate membership.
