Second Notice - Call for Abstracts

The 2023 CORM annual meeting will be held virtually in conjunction with the Canadian National Committee of CIE (CNC) and the CIE US National Committee

The joint research conference of the Canadian and United States CIE National Committees and the Council for Optical Radiation Measurements will be held virtually on November 6 to 8, 2023.
We invite abstract submissions for oral presentations covering any topic related to optical radiation, light, lighting, and vision, including but not limited to:

• Vision and Color
• Physical Measurement of Light
• UV and IR Radiation
• Optical Properties of Materials
• Interior Environment and Lighting Design
• Transportation and Exterior Lighting Applications
• Photobiology and Photochemistry
• Image Technology
• Current Research at National Metrology Institutes

There will be an educational session on glare metrics, models and standards. Confirmed speakers include Belal Abboushi and Naomi Miller from Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Mehlika Inanici from the University of Washington, and John Bullough from the Mount Sinai Light and Health Research Center. We are inviting abstracts that feature new research about glare to complement the education session.
In addition to the glare session, Lorne Whitehead will present an update on the progress of Technical Committee 1-98, “A Roadmap Toward Basing CIE Colorimetry on Cone Fundamentals”.

Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes, depending on the number of abstracts received. Abstracts should be 250 words or less. Abstracts should be submitted to CNC-CIE-Secretariat@nrc-cnrc.gc.ca by September 15, 2023. More details about the conference will be posted when available on the following websites.
